- Michael Johnson

Michael Johnson is an United States Olympic track and field hero. In Johnson’s career, he won four Olympic gold medals and eight World Championships. Johnson formerly held the world record in the 200 and 400 meters, as well as the indoor 300 and 400 meters. In 2004, he was inducted into the United States Track and Field Hall of Fame. Johnson will be bringing his speed expertise as a coach to the AFFL.

Justin Forsett was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the 2008 NFL Draft. He played for California, and in his senior year rushed for 1,546 yards and 15 touchdowns. In 2007, he was named first team All-Pac-10. In Forsett’s eight-year NFL career, he played for the Seahawks, Colts, Texans, Jaguars, Ravens, Lions, and Broncos, including a Pro Bowl nomination in 2014.

Seneca Wallace was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the 2003 NFL Draft. He played college football at Iowa State. In his ten-year NFL career, he played for the Seahawks, Browns, Saints, 49ers, and Packers, throwing for 4,497 yards and 32 touchdowns.

- Jahvid Best

Jahvid Best was drafted by the Detroit Lions in 2010. He played college football at California. At Cal, Best set the record for most all-purpose yards in a season and most rushing yards in a game. He was a two-time first team All-Pac-10 selection and the 2008 Emerald Bowl Offensive MVP. Best also competed in the 100 meters at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games, becoming the first former NFL player to compete in a Summer Olympics.

Jason Avant was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2006 NFL Draft. He played college football at the University of Michigan. At Michigan, Avant was named a finalist for the Fred Biletnikoff Award, was honorable mention All-American, and was given the Bo Schembechler Award. In Avant’s nine seasons in the NFL, he played for the Eagles, Panthers, and Chiefs.

Jacoby Jones was drafted by the Houston Texans in the 2007 NFL Draft. Jones had originally enrolled on a track scholarship at Southeastern Louisiana University but transferred to Lane College after his freshman year. At Lane, Jones was a three time All-Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference selection. He had an eight-year NFL career playing for the Texans, Ravens, Chargers, and Steelers. Jones holds three NFL records: longest kickoff return in a Super Bowl (108), the longest play in a Super Bowl (108), and most all-purpose yards in a Super Bowl (288). He also holds seven Texans franchise records and three Ravens franchise records. In 2013, Jones joined Dancing with The Stars for Season 16 coming in third place.

In 2007, Alan Ball was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys. Before that, Ball attended Illinois University. He was a four-year starter at cornerback and was named All-Big Ten his senior year. Ball would go on to have a nine-year NFL career playing for the Cowboys, Texans, Jaguars, Bears, and Cardinals. Ball also participated on the tv show Survivor Season 35, placing 15th.

Jeremy Wariner is a retired American track athlete specializing in the 400 meters. He has three Olympic Gold medals: the 400 meters in 2004, the 4 x 400 relay in 2004, and the 4 x 400 relay in 2008. He also won silver in the 400 meters at the 2008 Olympic Games, as well as five golds at the World Championships.

Josh Wilson was drafted in 2007 by the Seattle Seahawks. He played college football at the University of Maryland. In high school, Wilson set the state record in the 100 meters (10.84) and 200 meters (21.56). In his eight-year NFL career, he played for the Seahawks, Ravens, Redskins, Falcons, and Lions. In 2008, he was the NFL’s kickoff return yards leader.

James Ihedigbo was an undrafted free agent signed by the NY Jets in 2007. He played college football at Massachusetts. In his senior year, Ihedigbo was a candidate for the Buck Buchanan Award and a Walter Camp All-American. In his nine-year NFL career, he played for the Jets, Patriots, Ravens, Lions, and Bills. Ihedigbo won the Super Bowl with the Ravens in 2012.

Charles James signed with the New York Giants after going undrafted in 2013. In his five-year NFL career, he played for the Giants, Texans, Ravens, Colts, Bills, and Jaguars. James was a fan favorite on the 2015 edition of Hard Knocks.

- Jarrin Solomon

Jarrin Solomon is a Trinidadian track and field sprinter who specializes in the 400 meters. He won bronze in the 2012 London Olympics in the 4 x 400, gold at the 2017 World Championships in the 4 x 400, gold in the 2013 CAC Championships in both the 400 meters and the 4 x 400, and gold in the 2015 Pan American Games in the 4 x 400. Solomon grew up in New Mexico and attended the University of New Mexico.

Lavelle Hawkins was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the fourth round of the 2008 NFL Draft. Before the NFL, Hawkins played college football at California, where he earned Honorable Mention All-Pac-10 (2005) and was twice awarded second team All-Pac-10 (2006 and 2007). In his six-year NFL career, Hawkins played for the Titans, Patriots, 49ers, Chargers, and Bucs.
